Switching from HoneyBook, Dubsado, or Táve? We make it easy.
Export your data from your current tool and import it yourself in minutes. Colara detects which tool the file came from, maps the contacts, invoices, contracts, and pipeline fields, and shows you a preview before anything is created. Prefer hands-off? Email us the export and we'll do it for you, free.
No credit card required. The CRM is free with no end date. Already using Colara? The importer lives under Clients.
What imports
Contacts and clients: Colara maps supported identity and contact fields that are present in the CSV, with an import preview to review before finalizing.
Pipeline and project status: supported project stages present in the export can be mapped to Colara's pipeline.
Invoices and payment history: supported invoice totals, amounts paid, due dates, and payment statuses are mapped when they are present in the supplied export.
Contracts: supported contract titles and signing statuses are mapped, and accessible document links can be reviewed for attachment to the imported record.
Smart deduplication: the importer matches contacts by normalized email and phone before creating records and shows the result in the preview.
What doesn't transfer: email threads, calendar events, questionnaire responses, and automations/workflows don't import. These are rebuilt fresh in Colara.
Migration expectations
Every migration starts with a preview. We map the supported fields in your export, flag anything that needs review, and finalize only after the result looks right.
Source data and field coverage vary by platform and export format.
Three steps, we do the heavy lifting
1. Export from your current tool. Go to your tool's settings and export your contacts and projects as a CSV. Most tools have an export option under Settings or Account.
2. Upload it in Colara. In your Colara CRM, open Clients and click Import. The wizard detects whether the file came from HoneyBook, Dubsado, or Táve, suggests the column mapping, and lets you adjust it. Prefer hands-off? Email the file to support@colara.co with the subject line "Migration" and we'll do the mapping, deduplication, and cleanup for you, free.
3. Review the preview, then confirm. Nothing is created until you confirm. Review the mapped contacts, invoices, contracts, and pipeline stages, then finalize. Duplicates are matched by email and phone so re-importing is safe.
Migration FAQ
How does the migration work? Export the available CSV data from HoneyBook, Dubsado, or Táve, then upload it in Colara under Clients and Import. The importer detects which tool the file came from, maps the columns for you, and shows a preview you confirm before anything is created. Prefer not to do it yourself? Email the export to support@colara.co with the subject line "Migration" and we'll handle it for you, free.
How long does it take? The self-serve importer runs in minutes: upload, review the suggested mapping, confirm. If you email us instead, our target turnaround is 24 to 48 hours after we receive a usable export.
Will it overwrite data I've already entered in Colara? The preview shows proposed matches and mapped fields before finalization. Confirm it before the import is applied, especially if you already have records in Colara.
What about duplicate contacts? We match contacts by normalized email address and phone number before importing. Review the import preview to confirm matches before finalizing.
What about my HoneyBook Automations? Automations don't transfer, since they're specific to HoneyBook's workflow engine. Colara has its own automation tools that you'll set up fresh; the time required depends on the number and complexity of your workflows.
Do you support tools beyond HoneyBook, Dubsado, and Táve? If your current tool exports a CSV or Excel file, the importer can work with it. Pick Generic CSV as the source and map the columns yourself, or email us the file and we'll let you know what's possible.
